Programs

Wildhaven Ranch has developed several community programs and events dedicated to preserving the mountain’s natural habitat and educating both mountain residents and visitors.

“Operation Waterfowl” involves the Lake Arrowhead shore clean-up of garbage and fishing lines that are dangerous to ducks, birds and other animals.

“Wings & Things” allows groups an “up close and personal” experience with magnificent birds of prey. Participants in the program come “beak to beak” with beautiful falcons, hawks, owls and eagles. Reservations are needed to participate in this unique program.

“Paws & Claws” provides a similar educational program with indigenous mammals such as bear, bobcat, and raccoon. It is our hope that these personal encounters with our native wildlife will educate participants about the importance of wildlife preservation and the need for the intelligent conservation of our natural environment. Reservations are needed to participate in this unique program.

“Work on the Wild Side” is a special weekend experience that allows visitors to participate in the hands-on- training of birds of prey including owls, falcons and hawks. Reservations are needed to participate in this unique program.

“Bear Watch” allows participants to closely observe our daily bear training exercises. For a small entrance fee, participants watch as our trainer interacts with one of our resident bears. Reservations are needed to participate in this unique program.
